journal spotlight cycle 8

My name is kimberly harsh and the biggest crowd that i have ever been in would have to be the jonas brothers concert we had so much fun, we went out to eat before the concert started and got there just in time we hardley could get through to find us somewhere to stand and for us to talk to each other we had to scream at each other for us to hear, thats how loud it was. that concert was so good i loved it and didnt want it to end but after that i had the worse headache of my life but it soon went away. my little brother said that he didnt like it very much but of course he is a boy, and boys dont like the jonas brothers. but that was the biggest crowd that i have ever been in.

untitled poem- Mandyy Armour

I feel so lost in this world that doesn't want me
trapped in this thing they call life
And these wounds won't seem heal
i feel so hurt, so lost, so...... alone
I may look happy on the outside
but if you felt what i felt on the inside you would understand
I stare at the dark trying to learn, trying to figure out
why i feel this way

Feeling all alone,
like no one wants you around,
telling you that you can't come home.
Sometimes you make mistakes,
that no one will let you redo,
it makes you feel like they don't even care.
"Why won't she listen?"
"Why won't she give you another chance,
to redeem yourself from your horrible mistake?"
That's all that I can think about,
when I'm at school, at someones house.
Nothing can over pass it,
except...
Her voice, when she calls you,
telling you she is sorry,
and feels that I need to be able to tell
her what I really mean by what I said.
Her saying that she has forgiven me,
and then me knowing that everything will be okay,
once she hugs me and tells me she loves me.
My mom forgave me, and we are okay for now,
until...
I make another mistake,
or say something I don't really mean.
Then we are back where we started.

Cycle 8's Book Jacket; New Moon

"New Moon" Book Jacket by Lacy Reed

My group and I are finishing up New Moon. Most of my group members have already read it, but we like it so much we don't mind reading it again. New Moon is the sequel to Twilight. You know the vampire movies everyone is obsessing over. New Moon continues Edward Cullen and Bella Swan's story. In this book loquacious Bella becomes lugubrious Bella when Edward leaves her. He believes that she, a human and normal girl, doesn't belong in his messed up world. He feels that he is constantly keeping Bella in danger. She demands that she can't live without him, but he just disappears in seconds. This book is very very emotional. I cried constantly. There is break ups and Jacob, Bella's best friend, suddenly ditches her and acts churlish towards her. Is he trying to protect her from something or does he truly hate her. Bella ends up feeling split. Both Edward and Jacob have moiety of her. What is she to do. Read and find out it is amazing!!
